In my abstract work, I am searching for something new that is not a single image, and that has not been seen before.  In this process, I photograph details and shapes of objects and designs that are incomplete in themselves. After gathering hundreds of images in this way, I use Photoshop with layers and blending modes to create a new photograph that did not exist before. This process usually takes a long time. I work until the composite image moves me aesthetically. Combining images in Photoshop is a celebratory process. I never know what magic will occur.
