Photographing another artist is different - there’s an unspoken understanding between us about what it means to be seen. These portraits of important artists, photographers, directors, musicians, and visionaries, in both black and white and color, are my attempt to capture that recognition, and something of the spirit behind each person’s work. These portraits span decades and together form a quiet record of the people shaping art and photography in their time.
