PORTRAITS - COLOR
I struggle to understand the complexities of the human condition. The fragile interior lives of people and their emotional states are a constant inspiration for my work. When I choose subjects or am compelled to photograph someone, I feel that everything in their life and everything in my life has mysteriously drawn us together and has been a rehearsal for that moment. There is a transcendent quality that we both understand; if things are right, the emotion and meaning that the image evokes will deeply affect the viewer.
